• BREAST LIFT

Breast lift surgery is performed for women who are satisfied with the size of their breasts, but who would like to restore the breasts to a more youthful appearance.  Many factors, including pregnancy, can affect the shape of the breasts.  A breast lift can dramatically improve the shape and position of the breasts.  Following breast lift, the breasts will feel firmer and appear more youthful, and in keeping with the positive outcome, the position of the nipples will also show improvement.

Dr. Wilensky performs breast lift using a variety of techniques.  In general, excess breast skin is removed and the breast is reshaped.  The breast and nipple are elevated and repositioned for the most pleasing aesthetic result.  During your consultation, Dr. Wilensky will discuss your goals and the results you would like to achieve, to determine if breast lift may be appropriate for you.

Your personal and family breast health history will be carefully reviewed.  Following this, the breast area will be examined to assess the breast tissue itself.  The breast size and shape, the quality of the skin, as well as various parameters that help to determine the technique that will provide the most natural result are part of the process.

The best candidates for breast lift are women who are in good health, close to their ideal body weight, and moderately physically fit.  A breast lift is performed under general anesthesia, and may take from two to three hours.  Dr. Wilensky performs the breast lift in his office-based surgical facility.  The procedure is generally completed on an outpatient basis.
           
In certain instances, a combination of saline breast implants along with the breast lift procedure may be required to achieve the most optimal result.  In these situations, the procedures can be done at the same time or sequentially.  Dr. Wilensky critically evaluates each individual case to determine the optimal approach and timing of the operations.
